Strict Standards - Post ID 202802
Hi
I'm brand new to SCCP and like what I see. I'm currently using the trial version to see if it fits the bill.
All's cool till I publish and then I get numerous error lines that are like:
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in ....file name
One exact error message is :
Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in C:\xampp\htdocs\shop\ccdata\data\group.inc.php on line 505
As you can see I'm running this on xampp apache on a win 7 ws for testing.
Any help would be appreciated because I'm stuck in the mud

It's probably because your viewing on local host. This can sometimes cause problems because the output CC creates locally is different from when the scripts are uploaded to the server. I would create a testing spot on your server and then run check.

I have exactly the same problem.
When checking my shop, on both Firefox as IE the view was horible.
Installed the latest version of SCCP. Opened the shop file.
First problem found is that my original template, which I modified with cart designer Pro, 3 years ago, cannot be used any more.... with the latest version. Cart designer Pro says its corrupt...
Second problem After uploading to the intended location on the server, I get messages like "Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /data/home/eerl01/domains/haraldinogelato.nl/public_html/shop3/ccdata/data/group.inc.php on line 505" So it is not on local host!
Third problem the logo is totally distorted.
I checked this on IE and Firefox both have the same problem.
Urgent help is requested. Christmas is close........ and my icecream shop looks like garbage....
my SCC and designer are full versions.

You need to downgrade your PHP installation from 5.4 to 4.X and it will remove the errors you are seeing. That will be the quick fix.

Sorry for being somewhat blond (which I am), but downgrading PHP is that on my computer or on the server of the host? If on my computer, other users could have the same problem. If on the server, I'm a bit stuck....

It's done on your host. Login to your Cpanel or host account and there should be a way for you to execute this on your own or at least put in a request for the down grade.
