Here's my first online store using SCC Pro. I started working on it Wednesday evening and published it Friday night. May need to work on the design a bit but it was ridiculously easy to get it up and running. For those who are interested all products and photos were entered via a CSV file using an existing product database. Had to modify the title and short description fields mostly because of their field-length restrictions. Other than that the products all came through automatically. For the long description I used HTML tags. There were some minor glitches since the CSV processor in SCC Pro didn't like the use of quotation marks.Once I figured out how to work around it everything went smoothly.

Hiya Jerry,

Love the boards, but then I'm a great lover of Backgammon hehe. Only suggestion I could see is to add images to your Chess category page (the main category page itself)

Right now they are all blank images (question mark blanks) and would look better with some real ones in there. Other than that, nice job in such a quick time, enjoy! :)

Jo Ann,

Thanks for looking at the shop. And thank you for your suggestion. I agree with that. I saw that myself but I couldn't figure out how to input those images.

If you have a moment could you let me know how to do that. In the meantime I'll keep looking.

Hi there

Here is the little shop I created for a customer. Only a few items to kick off, but we'll be adding much more over the coming months.

His website was also created using Visual Site designer, flash menu builder and Photo Gallery

I'm very happy with how easily these all came together :)

Andrew I think you might benefit from playing with the designer program to get bigger thumbnail pictures

here is an example of what i did for a friend of mine, http://www.sarahphotographer.co.uk/cart1/

When pictures are for sale to me big thumbnails are a must

Hiya Andrew,

Nice setup on the shop. I would also add on to Viv's suggestion with suggesting you add watermarks of some kind to your photo images so that they cannot be quite as easily taken from your site. Although we can't really stop people from copying the images, you can at least make it more difficult for them to have a clean one :)

I might also suggest making your banner more matching size wise to the main site as it looks a bit distorted on the shop. One thing that the SCC program(s) don't do well is resize banner images cleanly. Always best to size it how you want it and then use the original size of the image. A larger banner there without the text on the right side would look a whole lot nicer than it does now as it makes it look off kilter in centering etc.

Also your main site that you've done with VSD would look much better centered on the screen than on the left side.

Love the look though, nice job :)

Adding to Jo Ann's comment, heres where pro designer works so well

If you crop your vsd background so you have three sections

header , main background, and footer

in designer you could then match your vsd homepage almost perfectly by setting each section as background (in designer each section is separate)

You have to fiddle a little by putting in a dummy logo to get the hight of the header to work though

My company sells to veterinarians. Here is my site. http://www.vetstuff.com

I continue to add new items every day. I continue to learm more about the program. It has been easy to use and allows a lot of flexibility. I also continue to make suggestions to coffeecup support for features that would be nice to have in the program. They have been very positive.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
