Almost one year since my company store, Motorcycle Gadgets has officially gone online. Check us out at:

http://motorcycle-gadgets.com

Couldn't have done it without SCC, VSD, and the HTML Editor. Great products for start-up companies.

Always looking for suggestions on how to improve my site; and if you ride a motorcycle, check out our unique Gadgets!

Have updated a few things and still working on some other aspects, but here is my SCC website.

I have to say as a testimony, that the investment in the software paid itself back in no time at all.

I have noticed via google analytics that bounce rate decreased, time on site has increased, number of page views has increased, etc, etc.

It takes me a few minutes to add items or edit items, it is a real dream to work with

I LOVE this program! This is my first online store (for client) . . . they chose colours, etc. This is sample for them only . . . not quite finished. Please have a look and if you have any suggestions - I would very much appreciate it!

I only have ONE question at this point . . . You will see header (larger size than the template that I tweaked). Now, I'm using that image in the area where it says "upload logo" - so this is working just fine, however, I'm getting the W3C error for not having image <alt> . . . does anybody know of any way to RID of this error . . .

I have already attempted to use banner/logo as background - that didn't work because original template was only maybe 100 pixels high (guessing). My banner is 315 pixels high.

ANY TRICKS FOR ME! I'm not all that worried about one error . . . however, I have designed over 100 sites, and this would be the FIRST error in any of my code . . . was trying to keep up the "perfection" . . . but if not . . . one error isn't that big of a deal (only to me it is).

Please have a look - TEMPORARY site only.

you can get rid of the error by adding the alt tag to the image so alternate text is used when the image is not.

might I suggest:

the light blue on a white background is a little hard to read for old eyes

possibly changing the color to one in this example might make them pop a little without overpowering the page.

To: David Wilson, Embassador - - thank you for your assistance - I completely agree with needing darker titles, etc. Will discuss with my customer! Will show you finished store when I'm finished. Again - very very much appreciate your assistance!

Thanks,
Laura

Hi there, I have just redesigned my shop, initially I used a template, but completely configured it, done my own graphics using web image studio (lite), and also used SC Designer pro aswell, I would really like your thoughts on it so far, it is still a work in progress, but is fully functional.

Thanks in advance.

I converted an older zen cart shop to creator pro. It still needs privacy/shipping/policy pages, as well as more products. However; I think this is a pretty good start. I am amazed at how easy this was to put together compared to zen cart.

Please check it out and give me any feedback.

Thanks!

-Ken

Looks good Ken. Not only that but it doesn't include the security risks or server demands of querying a database either.

Here is my newly designed Pro Shop hosted on S-Drive - I would love to know what people think.

http://heylis.coffeecup.com/index.html

I have still a lot to do on it but pretty chuffed with myself so far. I think I might have another go at the header to match all the way through as it looks a bit messy.

With the added feature of the custom header in SCC pro I have managed to put an extra navbar in to link all my shop sites together. :D Getting the paths right for images, .css etc was a bit tricky as they seem to change depending on whether you have "site" or "shop" set as the home page.

I have used SCC pro, SCD pro, Website Color Schemer, Web Image Studio Lite and Direct FTP Beta.

Not all the graphics where created with wisl, I think you can clearly tell which ones they are. ;)

I used Direct FTP Beta to upload all my images & htmls, it does seem to be fast although as I am gradually moving my site to s-drive I needed to download my old site from the last host as back-up. This was very slow for some reason.
