Do I need to buy the Designer Pro too? If so why aren't the two integrated as one? I see that you have a bundle - ECommerce Pro but I really don't need Web Image Studio or the Colour Schemer as I have Photoshop. I also have Shopping Cart creator that I bought a while back but never used as it was too cumbersome. Now that I am about to need to build an ecommerce site I need to get the pro version. Is there an upgrade price?
We could integrate the two, but then we would have to charge $200+ for it.
. It really depends on your needs. If you are happy with the themes that come with the software, you do not need it. If you want to make your own theme, then you need it.
If you purcashed the software within the past few months, we do offer and upgrade. If it is older then that, you need to just purchase it from our website.

I would highly suggest getting both the Pro versions of the Cart Creator and the Designer programs. The extra features that come along with the Pro cart version are quite intensive compared to the basic version. As for the Designer, well you'll need it to do most any changes to the design of the theme (not content wise) and it's extremely useful for so many changes to the themes. Just my 10 cents

I have downloaded the free trials of both Creator Pro and Designer Pro. I haven't opened them yet as I don't know how many days the trial(s) last? Are they fully functioning? What platform do they work on? Linux or Windows? I imagine it is PHP. Do I need to purchase I SSL certificate from my hosting company? A few years back I purchased Shopping Cart Creator, will I get any rebate for upgrading?
Hiya Dan,
I don't recall fully the trial period, but I seem to recall something like 7 days for those programs so just do one at a time and you should be ok to check them out.
Yes they are fully functioning trials.
They work on Linux servers the best, don't do a Windows server if you can get around that. Not sure if they work on Windows servers at all to be honest, and yes it's PHP.
No you shouldn't need any SSL certificates as the transactions are all done using PayPal or whatever payment processing companies you choose in the program. This means that no information (credit card) is collected by you at all so you are not needing any of that extra protection as it's covered by the payment processing sites.
There is no rebate for upgrading, there was an upgrade special when it was released, but it's not really an upgrade as they are both totally separate programs so there's no upgrade price at this time.;
Hope that helps

OK I have been working on the cart and now I want to edit the theme so that I can change the header to my own logo. How do I open the work that I have been doing in Design Pro and not lose the cart information.
Hiya Dan,
The Designer doesn't interact with your content at all, only the theme, and it doesn't load anything from your cart either, only loads a generic setup from whatever theme you choose. When you have your theme how you want it you export it to the cart program.

Opening the theme design in SCDP won't do anything to all the work you did in SCCP.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I want to replace the images in my theme such as the nav bar. How do I do this?
Hiya Dan,
You would do this with the Shopping Cart Designer program, Pro being the best choice for the most bang for your buck without a doubt. The text part would depend on what text you want to change as some of the text is actually in the Cart if it has to do with products, Categories or Subcategories at all. The designer will not change that text, it only alters the fonts, colors, styles, positions etc. of the texts. You DO change the Header text for the LOGO area though in the Designer programs.
