Re Shopping Cart Creater Pro and Coffee Cup Cart Designer Pro.
My trusty old XP PC is getting noisy and I've already had to replace the power supply and the fan. I don't think it'll survive much longer so I just bought a "new" (s/hand) PC with Windows 7 on it.
Could anyone give me tips on transferring all my files to the new PC ? Which files need to be transferred ? Any important ones hiding anywhere other that in Documents & Settings ?
Hope someone can help.

Hi Dane,

I was wondering the same thing. I recently switched to a new computer and just copy/pasted the folder over. That didn't seem to work entirely. I ended up just leaving my 3 stores on my old pc. I would open a support ticket and ask there... if you figure it out can you please share with us.

For Shopping Cart Creator, open your shop on the old PC in the software and then go to the File Menu > Save As and save to a USB drive. This will copy the files over. You then need to get any custom themes from your Documents folder and copy those to the new computer.

Thanks Scott, I will try that. I am still adding all the programs I need (about 100 of them) to the new PC, so I will try your suggestion when I have done that.
I presume that I would then need to import the settings etc. directly from the usb stick then save everything.
Windows 7 is wierd and too much "pwitty colours and menus for newbies" compared to Win XP.. I am not impressed so far.

Sorry to say that this did not work as I hoped it would.
>File Menu > Save As and save to a USB drive
That went ok, but it appears to only have saved the .scc file.
So I put the USB stick into the new PC, used "Open Shop" selected the USB stick and I saw - more or less - my shop. But no images of the merchandise at all.
But then there is no way I can save it to the new PC. If I click the "Save Shop" icon it saves it to the USB stick, not to the PC. There are none of the usual text drop-down menus along the top and I have no idea WHERE (i.e. folder) the shop would be saved to by default.
So I made a new folder under /..Appdata/Roaming/CoffeeCup Shopping Cart.. and copied the scc file AND my previous Autosave folder over, but that gave the same result and it didn't find the .cfg file I had added there.
Any ideas ? Is there anyway that I can set the path to where the files are and where they should be saved to ?
Could someone who uses Shopping Cart with Windows 7 perhaps tell me the paths where their Coffee Cup files etc. are saved to ?

Try saving your shop under a new name on your pc and see if it builds all the directories as it should and then copy them to your usb.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

By the way, even when I make the screen resolution much smaller than I usually have it, even on my larger monitor, I can 't see the menu (File... etc) along the top. And I can't make it any smaller by e.g. dragging a corner inwards.

Yes Dane, as for your copy paste methods these are the exact same issues I ran across too. Keep working away at it and let us know if you figure it out.

OK I did that - now I have the images - yippee - but not my theme. I copied it to three different places but it's not
picking it up from any of them. I can't import a single theme, only a theme set, according to the menu
and the ending is different, so I can't select it.
Could ANYONE with Windows 7 please tell me where exactly it looks for your custom theme ?
We're getting there slowly. .Thanks for the help so far..
