I know CC is working on a Pro version but if they could soon bring out a stock/inventory management module soon that we could add to our current cart that would make a lot of people here very, very happy.. including me

There are many circumstances where inventory management still is not a necessity for some. If you sell services, digital downloads or anything non tangible.

I do agree it is something that we should add as either a module or in the pro version. I just don't see it ever becoming part of the standard version.

Your purchase of the super pack is also very much appreciated. However we can't always give everything away for free. After all, we do need to feed our programmers from time to time

It is on the list. Right now we are concentrating all our efforts on the improving the tax configuration area. I think everyone is in agreement that this takes a higher priority.

Is that all there is to it.

Does that stop an item from being sold that has previously been sold or does it only limit the numbr that can be sold to one at a time

I really want to buy this software and need a reliable work around on this issue. Anybody?.

I plan to use it as a form of online Garage Sale to sell unwanted treasures.

Hi Sidney, setting the quantity to one under the "More Options" tab allows the user to purchase a quantity of one. It does not prevent the next user from buying the same item (also at a quantity of one).

I have found that I can use Paypal's Shopping Cart system which does control inventory. The downside is that each item has to be created in Paypal. A plus is that Credit cards can be accepted without a customer joining Paypal.

Looks like I will wait and see which way CC jumps. I think their coffee is getting cold it needs warming up.

Taxes will not kill CCSCC, inventory reduction certainly will. Just read the comments here and on the net. I think CC has shot it's self in the foot.

It has for me and I was a cc fan. I only trialed it, no monetry loss. Ah well it is a shame. though, the concept is there without the substance.

We would like to be able to leave a "sold out" item on the web site, but have the quantity available for purchase set to Zero to prevent people from trying to order. Right now, when I try putting zero in for the amount order quantity, it defaults back to a number.

Is there a way this can be done? We tried putting a photo that says "sold out" up and also putting a bold red statement up saying it was currently sold out, but would become available again soon. People continued to order.

Yet we don't want to remove it from the cart totally, because that leaves just a couple items left, and we want people to know it will be returning. We just want to prevent orders until the sold out items are back, but yet not have a nearly-empty cart as a result of removing these items.

Any ideas on how to leave items in the cart, but not allow ordering?

I'm using Shopping Cart Creator Pro and I'm having difficulty figuring out how to set my stock levels. For example, I have T-Shirts in 3 different colors and various sizes. I have one pull down options where the customer can select color and another where the customer can select size. I'm trying to figure out where I set the stock quantity for each size and color. I was hoping that I didn't have to have each size/color combination as an individual product in order to track inventory. Can someone please point me in the right direction.

Yes, at this time you need a different product to keep track of inventory using each color or size combo. I know this feature has been asked for by several users.
