I just need to create a blank page so that my products can reside on them.
I can then add a background image, but I cannot figure out how to create just a lone page in the shopping cart creator.
My home page for the site is in VSD but i'm not certain if that could then be added to a page created for my products through the shopping cart creator. I don't see any option to make a page from scratch in the shopping cart program, which seems kid of odd as it then becomes mandatory to have purchase the other software.

Easy to create new blank pages in SCCP. Just click on the 'Pages' button on the top menu. Then look to the right under 'Basic Info' and you'll see a list of pages. Click the green + sign marked in the picture and you can create a new page!

OMG. Is this really that easy? I can then add products to these pages?
Please tell me that I'm not this dumb, to have missed it? LOL

I think she wants a blank theme Gunsmoke that she can alter the images on later.

Holly there is NO way to incorporate SCC into VSD. If you have already built a VSD website you cannot add a shopping cart directly to it... unless someone knows something I don't please jump in if I'm wrong, But you can make a shop and just add a link or button to your site that connects you to the shop.

I am playing around with SCC to see if there is a way to use a blank theme... i have the pro version as well as the designer program so i am installing scc by itself on another computer that doesnt have any of the other software on it.

Sorry to inform you but what Gunsmoke was showing you was how to add new pages (not shopping cart) to your SCC for example you can add extra pages not relating to your shop check here

http://svartzonkercanada.com/

If you hover over the home button you will see other pages there. Not related to any items you are selling.

No. I think you are right there Steve. I thought she just wanted to add another page to what she was doing. You pretty much have to use a theme, or modify what you have with the SCDP program. That's the only way to make your shop look like your web site. How many products are you talking about Holly? And are they digital downloads or things you'll need to ship? If you only have a few, I'd skip the shopping cart and just add them to your VSD site and use the Web Form Builder to create an order form.

Thanks so much Steve.
I just need a page to add my products to but I am still having trouble. Even though I have tried to create the page that gunsmoke was referring to, it still keeps going back to a theme template. It won't even allow me to use the "basic themes" or the "my themes" option. I thought that even a few basic themes came with the software? It shows them as if they are available and i can see them during the preview but they are not editable.

How about this...use the 'Blank' theme, then add Eric's fixed full page background? http://progrower.coffeecup.com/jquerybackground_static.html
You'd have to modify the code outside the SCCP program though, and I'm not sure you really want to get into that. But that would let you use your own background, with the SCCP shop.
