So there is no way to turn off the "subcategories" drop-down (if you're using drop-down menus) when you change the name of the Categories page to something else (in my case it's Contact Us)?
My customer wants all the products ("categories") shown on the home page so I have no need for a Categories page or the subcategories listed in a drop-down.. how do I get around this?

I'm with you Dwight.
Does anyone know how to have the categories listed down the left handside of the page?
I also have a client that doesnt want the one link, Categories to expand when hovered over, He wants the full list of categories along with the sub categories listed.
anyone anyone??
Cheers

Find a theme that does that or explain to your client that CoffeeCup Shopping Cart Themes are somewhat customizable, but not fully customizable.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Yeah see wot u mean Tomalicious.
Found these sites in the forums
http://www.andysmotorcycles.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_27
http://www.motorcycle-gadgets.com/Mailing_List.php
and this is exactly what i was after. I tried altering the page display settings in SCCpro, under the shop settings but that didnt change, it did in the center of the page only, not in the navigation bar though. Then went through the SCDpro themes and couldnt see anything there either.
cheers

New themes Fantastic & Memphis Store should give you similar to what you want.
Also, old themes such as Clean Slate (left navigation), 80's Punk (left navigation), Blank (build it to your taste with left navigation), Classical Jazz (left nav) & Film Noir (left nav) can set out all the categories on the side.
It might not be exact to the motorcycle site, but you can achieve a similar layout.

Thanks for your responces Eric & Bren.
I thought i'ed seen these somewhere:rolleyes:

Jason,
This is not a perfect solution, but it does work if you have SDC pro.
If you have a left column menu go into Navigation Menu Properties, then go to the Advanced options
Select menu padding and pad the menu all the way to 999 using the right hand option this will move the menu to the extreme right side of your page. It's still active but you can change the link, visited link, and hover colors to invisible colors it doesn't show at all. You will also have to repeat the colors on the sub menu as it will pop up if you scroll over it. Once this is done you have a completely invisible menu W-A-Y over in the wrong place to cause problems
<Be careful of any background image in this area as it might make things not so invisible>
There is an extremely small area on your page that can be clicked on that will take your shopper to another page if they hit it, but since everything is invisible and on the wrong side of the page the chances are slim this will happen.
This WILL break your breadcrumbs though.
Now all you have to do is create any menu you like and place it on the left side. You can also use the central area to put a picture of something in each category and make them links also.
I played with this a bit and decided I was more interested in getting the store online than playing around. Might still do it in the future and save it as a template though.
This should also work for a righ hand menu by sending the actual menu to the left, top to the bottom etc.
Hope this helps
