I currently have a store where the hosting company has an integrated store. What I like about it is that I can upload pictures in the appropriate size, ie. Thumbnail and enlarged. I can then build a spreadsheet with the skus, descriptions, pricing, tax info, shipping info, picture names and everything else. When I import the file, it finds the appropriate pictures, categories and such. It effectively creates the items in the store in a batch mode. I can then edit each item if needed.

Is that something SCC will do or do you have to create each item in the store separately?

That is actually a feature in SCC Pro ;)

Man alive, I do not think I have ever been in so much anticipation for a software program in my whole time doing web development. I'm Such a nerd.

Heh. Makes me almost wish I had an e-commerce client or two so I'd have reason to fire it up--though an existing site might add a shopping cart at some point. I'll do my best to be the stuckee to set it up for them.

Trust me you don't wish that right now. Most of us are doing our best keeping the clients happy until the pro version comes out. I am running out of good reasons why "my upgrade" has not happened yet. :D With that said, good software takes time, and I trust coffee cup to release a good version to the public. So I don't complain - well not that much anyway.:D

There are valid reasons for the delay. The primary one is that the product has been extensively refined since the first beta. The second beta has also had modifications and enhancements made to the code to refine and improve the product even further. The ultimate goal, is to give you all one of the very best ecommerce solutions around.

I can tell you that the entire Coffeecup team have been putting a lot of effort into this product, so it's a question of being patient for just a litttle while longer. :)

Will the Pro version have tha bility to sell one of a kind items? Currently there is no way to take the inventory down to zero. A customer can still buy a one off item even if it just got sold 10 seconds ago. It is the only reason I am not using the package now.

Only Scott is permitted to give exact details regarding features on the pro version, other than to say inventory control was high on the list of requests from existing users. ;)

Will SSC Pro have the ability to program a return URL after checkout?. I run a number of different web sites selling different products. So the ability to be able to program each web sites cart with a different return URL is essential. It's a standard facility in PayPal generated buttons so I'm hoping that the new SSC pro will have a similar feature.

Will the Pro version of Shopping Cart Creator be able to import shops created in the standard (or current) version?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
