I might have misunderstood but here's one version. I did nothing to your break points and only adjusted to make the gray columns go from images to footer. It's that min height again. Responsive design is a completely different way of thinking.

Thanks, Eric. It looks better, but we're not quite there yet. The problem is that a column can be given a height in px, but what we need is %.

I think I have sorted the image problem. What obviously seems to be wrong, is that I inserted 'image 2:1, 'image 1:1' and 'image 1:2' in the attempt of getting as close as possible to the shape of each image. And then adjusted the aspect ratio using the real width and height.
Now I have created them all as 'image 4:3' and then adjusted the aspect ratio, and that seems to work. To me that seems a bit backwards, though. But if this is the correct way of doing it, it will have to be explained very well in the help files, because it doean't appear logical.

Yeah you have to get things spot on really before exporting, unless just experimenting. The one thing that is going to be interesting is if a website is going to need some changes, I don't mean just images here and there, but new pages etc, how that is going to work in the RLM, that's my concern, although cross that bridge when I come to it. It's so easy to change things before Responsive design, but to me so far, I could be wrong, but the whole thing would need changing. So for eg someone asks for another 2 pages to be added to the website, under normal circumstances that's not that difficult and I know I'm jumping ahead here, but I see difficulties, but no need worry about them now.

I had those exact concerns and I raised them with coffeecup. Basically once your done with the export that's it you are done . You can modify the styles without losing your content but if you want to change breakpoints, column or row changes,or new pages with new layout RLMPwill over-write your framework.

If you want to create another page with the same layout thats pretty easy but if you want a different layout then you pretty much have to hand code it.

Mmm...interesting. But when I "save as" then the work I'm building it overwrites the whole thing, saving just saves the .rlm file but doesn't seem to change the export in anyway, which I didn't think it would anyway. If you building even another page with the same layout are you saying just change the css files?? Suppose hand coding defeats the purpose really. I'm putting the cart before the horse but they still thoughts in the back of my mind

Adding a page is easy. Select 'Layouts' from the menu bar, then if you want the same layout, then duplicate, a different layout, then blank. Of course you can duplicate and then wipe away the bits you want to be different. You navigate between the pages by clicking the arrows top right, on either side of 'index'.

You can "save as" the project file thats not this issue here. It's more of when you export your framework again after you make some design changes. If you save that to the same folder where your previous layout is it will over-write the entire contents erasing all and repopulating with the new layout.

If you want to add another page with the same layout that can be done by opening the page you want to duplicate in save as the new page you want to create. Then just go in and edit it as you would any other page.

No I mean like Steve says it's the exporting issues, it's easy to build a whole new site if it was duplicated, but it means a lot of back up and uploading files if everything is over written again, that's where I'm a l trifle concerned. Me and my wife have a site that needs updating every few weeks, it's not in responsive and if I was going to go down that path with it at this time, it would be some work because I would updating one minute over writing the next :/

It would be great if there was a way to save as and just changing what had been changed if you know what I mean, rather than a whole over write. For most sites it wouldn't be much of a problem but it will for at least one that I do, because it's not the same layout everytime, problems problems

Ah yes I know. Like I mentioned to Lance, you are more likely wanting the Responsive Site Designer. As far as I understand this will be very similar to the rlmp but all your changes are managed within the program. It's kind of like taking the RLMP and squishing it together with VSD.

I too cannot wait!
