That's a great post Thanks for that. What I forgot to put in my original comment was I meant to say for the people that have already tried and tested it, obviously if some haven't and given an opinion it's not much good to me, but that's a very intelligent way to look at things.

Do not worry there will be a trail version... The only way that I see someone not liking this software is if they do not understand how to actually use it.

Like I said before it is not VSD, you have to know how to use Padding, Margin, widths. You do not know how to code them, just how to USE them. If you know how to do these things, you can make beautiful websites, with minimal effort.

Eric will you just email Matt

I've never used the VSD SirAge I just always use the HTML editor, I can code in notepad if it came to it, but it's time consuming, so understand padding and stuff isn't a problem. I'd very interested to give it a trial.

Well I say let's make the best of this post since it's probably going to be deleted by tomorrow morning.

The new Responsive Layout Maker is a really great app. It has many different features that allow you to create a mockup website that is responsive. You start with a blank sheet to work from, a canvas if you will. On this you can create several columns to start off with that will allow you to separate either logo's, images, and photo galleries. There is no such thing as width as you would guess as this is a responsive layout maker. A combination of the Layout Maker and Button Builder is the key to futuristic design. With these two programs bundled together you can really take on most of today's web designing. The best thing about it is it's pure code and it has a very interactive design. The user interface is new and brings to the table more things like elements in the design that you can drag and drop easily without having the hassle of coding this yourself. It basically does everything for you and produces codes for both the CSS3, and HTML5 so you really don't have anything to worry about. It's really cool guys, you should see if you can get into the trial, my words don't justify it's awesomeness.

Not having seen this in action yet... Is it for planning layouts rather than actually building the site? It sounds like one tries out stuff in the RLM, then moves the layout to the Editor?
Is $99 the special intro price? I haven't seen any email notices yet and the CC site just says coming soon (no price).

Thanks for the info, Matt. I saw it after I posted my questions. :)
Something else.... Would you still use the Menu Maker? It seems this would do menu layouts as well.

RLM is the house. You still have to furnish it.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

??? Do you mean you need to add the Menu Maker to it somehow?
What other sorts of furniture will be required?

A question for the people who are testing the beta version...... to see if I am understanding how the program works.

You select a screen size, set up the elements onto the screen of buttons, images, text etc, then use the program to see how it looks on other screen sizes such as mobile devices, which you can then tweak for optimum results. As with other responsive web pages, I am presuming that the full screen size of a typical pc compacts to a different type of layout when viewed on smaller devices such as smartphones?

Does anyone possibly have a test page anywhere, so we can see what it looks like on a variety of different devices?

The site is in Danish but you see how it change the layout with different screen sizes.

The site is not yet finished there might be some small changes. I'm still testing.

But surely you still have to have width Mathew even if it's a 100%, I can understand not using absolute or relative positioning but you would still need some marker, don't you?

Also as we are trying, since we started designing sites for most of us on here I would imagine, there would still be issues for those browsers not supporting CSS3 & HTML5 does the RLM have fall backs for these?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
