Honestly I don't understand Image aspect ratio setting well and I would like to be explained , after dropping image element to column I don't get the exact size of image in display , eventually after some setting I get there but not sure it's right way or not. Can you break it down well and educate me and others with aspect ratio?

What is aspect ratio of 4:3, 3:2, 1:2, 2:1 and 1:1?
why we have few different image aspect ratio size in RLM?
I would like to get explanation for each aspect ratio and where to use each of them ?

Thank you in advance Steve

This website has a pretty good explanation on how aspect ratios work. This article is for digital photography, but is still very helpful.

I have an image (original dimension) 1006 X 541 pixels size and adding image element to column of 12 spans and I want to show up 50% pixel in size in web .
So I add image element of 3:2 aspect ration to the 12 spans column and I change the width to 50% in style properties and float left .

Question:
is this demo shows correct way of doing ?

Are you seeing a problem Mansour?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Mansour, your image of 1006:541 has a different aspect ratio than 3:2 and you risk having your image distorted. So if you want to have the correct aspect ratio, you need to set it in the properties below the 'Type Image 3:2' where it says 'Aspect ratio'. As far as I could see, all the rest of you little video was correct.

Want me to put together a little tutorial on how to do this Steve?

I think that your tutorials are the best, and would encourage you to do it... and others too, as the questions pop up.

Meanwhile, I think I've got the picture right, and will try to get to it later today when I get back to my home base.

I think I figured it out how it works now. And yes Steve Ravner you are right images are distorted, so I guess I have to edit my images in right sizes in order to get crystal sharp for display.
