Very good tutorial Steve. (I'm still not ready to code!) Any way you can 'zoom' in when looking at code though? It's so tiny on youtube I couldn't follow all of it. Of course a coder might have know what you were talking about. It might just be me :D

But it was a good tutorial!

Thanks Gunsmoke I use Cam Studio to record my tutorials partly because I am too cheap to buy a program for this lol. I don't know if there is a way to zoom. I will research.

Have you found that room to post our youtube links too?

I just pasted to my youtube page. Far as I can tell, If Jo Ann created anyplace for anything other than RLM I haven't found it. I just post the youtube link to whatever forum I was in. I don't know if they'll ever make it to the CoffeeCup channel. I guess they'll find them sometime.

Gunsmoke, can't you view the tutorial in full-screen? It's much easier to see, even to see the code.
Steve, your tutorial is excellent. There is one thing though, is it possible to make your voice sound clearer? It may just be me, I do have a hearing problem, so if everyone else thinks the sound is clear enough, then I will know it's just me ;)
Ha en riktig god dag!

That's brilliant Steve, the others came some valid points, but I've learned something from it. On your video program there should be a zoom button eg 4 on the keyboard is mine, but I use Snap 6, why don't you try Snap 7 it's really good, I've never used Cam before. But the zooming functions are important, I found the code hard to read at large view on youtube, however I knew basically what it said. Your voices is fine I thought, but have you tried Smart Voice Recorder app and then just transfer from a mobile device. I'm not picking here, just I've done so many videos for a few different companies and man you have to learn from mistakes and believe me Steve I've made tons of them I wish I could do the vids all over again, but I've found a format that works now. Snap is good for videos as good as you need and cheap as chips and Smart Voice app is great.
But your vid was ace, we all appreciate your efforts as it does take a million takes

Absolutely the vid was fine. I did try full screen but the text was so fuzzy I couldn't read it. Your voice was fine and I was able to follow along. I don't even use the RLM and I could follow along. It would be nice to learn some code, that was the main reason I wish you could have zoomed when explaining about what to delete. But no big deal.

Like G'kar I use Snap 7 and it has the zoom feature. I never really use it as I don't explain much about code. I'm more into pictures! But when I watched The vids from Adam and he zoomed in it made much more sense. Not picking, just saying...

Keep the vids coming either way. It's much easier to show someone, than to tell someone ...

Thanks for the thoughts you guys. Maybe I will breakdown and get snap7.

@Inger no I'm not hearing impaired although my wife my say that when she asks me to take out the trash lol.... I do have a bit of a cold though so I apologize for the clarity.

I enjoy making these videos and helping out people better understand the software. Sometimes I forget that not everyone picks up on the code quite as easily as I do so I will take a bit more time explaining that.

I blame the free software CamStudio for the video and voice recording quality hopefully snap7 will help with that.

Get yourself learning code man :lol:HTML is easy to learn and the basics of 5 is not too difficult, I do have a problem when you see people saying that the Canvas tag is the going to crack eggs with a stick, to me it's DHTML old wine in new bottles and can't do much by itself. But the basics of it is OK CSS is a never ending thing really, I've got a few books on it but one they are out, they are outdated or at least the recent one's. But if you learned them or the basics you would be fine. As for Javascript for people who think it's an easy language to learn are talking out of their other orifice, it is easier if you've come from other languages however. But to go deeply into Javascript is a very complicated, you can go over the surface of it and get some decent things but it's quite similar to Visual Basic I think. I've done thousands and thousands of lines of code in it and I don't know it all, but Jquery is the thing now, I can read it as it's Javascript driven but I've never done much with it.
I used to class myself as a Visual Basic/Javascript programmer because I couldn't design for toffee, but I'm getting better and coming away from coding to a degree.

As for the Snap 7 yeah I think you will still have something to offer Lance as regards Videos you have knowledge about things I don't so we'll await your vids with abated breadth  The default of Snap is f10 but I change it so it's easier for me to go to 4, but each to the own on that.

I think Inger meant her hearing was impaired Steve :D I'm a bit like that though Steve, I'm very hearing selective when my wife is talking :P Economical hearing I call it.

I'm trialling Steve Snap 7 it won't help with the sound I don't actually think mic's or anything I've tried that connects to the pc works too good, my suggestions is the best, because I said it :D I think Smart Voice is free. If you do try out Snap and get stuck with anything just give me a shout, I've used the prog for years through different versions.
