I am looking for some opinions. I have an existing site that I would like to make responsive. My understanding is that when designing a site in RLM you still have quite a bit of work to do, some coding, in order to get your site content into the framework. (I hope this is correct). My question is, if you have a site that you are looking to keep as is, does it make life easy, for a beginner like me (not much coding), to start using RLM for the first time on a project like this?

It really depends on your desire to learn a little bit of coding. I think most VSD users have done some coding or can figure out what they need for a snippet to accomplish their task. I would grab the trial version and mess with it. By RLM doing all of the coding for the frame work it has done 95% of a sites content as far as time to code. I think you'll find that it's not that hard to use once you get use to the interface.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks Eric. I did download the trial version last night and used it a bit but I was pretty lost with it. So I watched some of the video tutorials. One thing I did learn real fast....is that I have a lot to learn :D

Hey Marc,

Stick with it. Once you get around the learning curve it is a fantastic piece of software. There are plenty of videos out there and if you get stuck just ask. Most of us have been using it for a while now and have a pretty good feel for it.

From what I have seen it looks like a powerful piece. Once I learn how the software works and what some of this stuff means, like Hero, I think I will be fine.

If it's any consolation I was pretty lost with it when I first grabbed it. Learning a new interface is always nerve racking.
