Before and After Responsive Layout -...

I like the idea however that would be very difficult to do considering that is a complete layout change and we all know what happens when we try to modify the layout afterwards and re export it. If it were the Responsive Site Designer it would be a no brainer.

As for the fonts I will have to have a look at that. As far as I know I selected them all to be Times New Roman however opening the old layout maker file in the new version it did mess with my fonts again. I had to go through everything and reset them. I must have missed a couple.

Thanks for the input!

How would it be hard to complete because the project is done?

The changes would all be CSS changes not HTML. You would only need to copy over your CSS files 'Leaving the custom.css file alone' unless you did not make a custom.css... :P

Oh yes I did make a custom.css :P I will never make that mistake again lol. but moving that span 12 row from the bottom to the top and moving the 2 span 6 rows to the bottom isnt that a major change in the layout and not just css? Maybe I am misunderstanding here. I am deathly afraid of messing it up... spent a lot of time on it lol.

I was looking at your site Steve and saw that custom.css. I could see why you had it but also figured out that you probably needed to take a new approach. I'm working on a site at the moment and am taking a suggestion that Inger actually mentioned to build the mobile design first. I didn't do that on the first version but I'm going back and doing the mobile design first, now that I know how the owner wants it to look. It's a way different way of looking at site design and you can see why it's best to keep thing simple.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

I totally see you points here Eric and it is very hard to wrap my mind around approaching this from a different angle. Responsive web design in general is a very time consuming. But the benefits are clear, by future proofing your website you should only have to design it once and from that point it doesn't really matter what new device comes out your website will work on it. This is a major change in mobile development!

@Gunsmoke made the changes to the grammar

@Adam fixed the home page fonts and headers. Still thinking on the testimonials page.

Ah, you are talking about that page. Yes, you can do one of two things.

Simply move the code in the HTML itself or do it in RLM. Either way it will not be effected much at all.

You could also export the project and take that single page as that was where the change was made. :P

Not sure why Inger. I have tested from multiple locations and seems to be pretty fast loading. How is your connection out there? Is it just my site that loads slow?

I just tested http://www.misterwebguy.com/ResponsiveW … onial.html with the Full Page Test in Pingdom Tools.

This specific test was done on March 13 at 14:42:52 from Amsterdam, Netherlands. The web page took 1.90 s to load, used 65 requests, and weighed in at 1.6 MB.

The Google Page Speed performance grade for this web page is 60/100
