Is anyone else having issues? I'm trying to send test email and it says "connected to email server", "sending to @email address" and then it says "unable to send email"?

Hi Heidi,
Are you testing through the app and using CC's servers?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I am having issues too. It used to work fine when I was in the U.S., but after my move to Canada, I can't seem to configure it. I use GoDaddy and Apple Mail, and set up through the Coffee Cup e-mail settings, but it fails. I use Godaddy configuration for outgoing mail: smtpout.secureserver.net along with what they recommend for secure SSL port # and match the correct settings in my configured mail. Not sure if we are suppose to do something else. I read the help manual and do it the way they suggest.

Hi Janice, Are you having problems testing the email through the RED app or actual sending it from a form or php application?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Eric,
I am just testing through RED. I hand off the HTML file to my client, who sends them through another service., so for me it is not a big deal, but I am not sure why I can't get it to work anymore.
Thanks,
Janice

I would make sure it’s logged into your cc account. If you still can’t get it to work open a support topic and post back when you get an answer.

This may be part of the problem. I tried to set up my Yahoo account to use for testing and received the "unable to connect" message. I then received this email from Yahoo:

Sign in attempt prevented

Yahoo <no-reply@cc.yahoo-inc.com>

To wkresge@yahoo.com

Message body
Hi Bill,

Your account is currently not enabled to sign in from apps that do not meet modern security standards (ex. Older versions of mail and calendar apps such as Outlook). As a result, we prevented a sign in to your Yahoo account (wkresge).

Date and Time: March 25, 2018 3:31:11 PM PDT
Location: Washington, United States (IP Address: xx.xxx.xxx.124)

We strongly recommend that you switch to Yahoo's apps such as Yahoo Mail on desktop and mobile and remove your account from all other less secure apps.

If you still want to use an app that uses less secure sign in, go to https://login.yahoo.com/account/security#other-apps and turn on "Allow apps that use less secure sign in". This is not recommended and may leave your account more vulnerable to compromise. To learn more, please visit our help page: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN27791.html.

Yahoo blocked this sign in attempt, but if it looks suspicious to you or it's not from an application that you're using, go to https://login.yahoo.com/account/change-password and change the password for your account.

Thanks,

Yahoo

Can't say I'm thrilled at the idea of telling Yahoo it's okay to "Allow apps that use less secure sign in".

Thoughts and/or suggestions?
