Hey everybody!

We just finished a big big overhaul to the Email Code Generator. Right now this update will assure even more display consistency across email clients (especially the native android email clients). Going forward this will expand the layout options, mainly design constructs related to full-width content columns. We're pushing the limits of email design here!

You can't download this update from your accounts yet. We first would like to do more testing and get some feedback.

The A RESPONSIVE EMAIL IN 6 STEPS article contains links to the new builds. Any help testing would be highly appreciated. Also, if you're on RED Personal this is a good opportunity to try out RED for Business (if you do want to upgrade or get an additional license following the test, just open a support ticket).

Please let us know how it goes!

ps. for those interested, whereas we started out with a highly customized version of the Ink framework, the new code base shows little to no resemblance...
The future of web layout has arrived and it's called CSS Grid. CoffeeCup helps you to get ready with a free guide, the Grid Builder app plus cool demos & themes.

That's fine with me. With support like CC who needs Ink.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I was having an issue with a two column constrained row not displaying in the correct order on one tester's Samsung phone. The "right" column on desktop view was appearing above rather than below the "left" column. The code generated by this version has fixed the problem. That was the only issue I've had reported. How long will this test "trial" work? I need to develop another email now and given the improvements I would like an update to this codebase for RED for Business now. I can continue to use the test version but will there be any file compatibility or other issues going back over to RED for Business?

We received some more positive feedback in our support system. I think the big majority were not running into issues with the previous Code Generator so if it stays this way we will likely bring the update live this Monday. Also, we don't expect any compatibility issues
