Some of the pics in my project resources are rotated 90 degrees and when I add them they are still rotated. The are displayed correctly in Windows Explorer. Is there a way to force the rotation in RCS?

I have not had that problem with the RCS putting images of different sizes in. I am just guessing, I think that probably you have the width or height hard set somewhere and that is causing it to rotate the images so as to get them to fit.

Sounds like your EXIF information which contains the orientation info is partially missing. Just re-save each of these images in any graphics editor and that should fix the problem.

I found that the pictures that were rotated were larger files ( >2Mb). I resized them so they are less than 1Mb and they imported correctly.

I have noticed that if pictures are taken with an iPhone in landscape mode they will appear vertical in RSD but when you upload them to the server they will flip back to horizontal. The only way I could fix this was to open those images in a photo editor, flip them 90 degrees and save them as png.
