How do I make a full-screen slider?

I have images that are 1920x500 and smaller. However, it seems no matter what I do, I cannot make the image (image and background) any larger than the template. I want the slider to be full width of the screen and re-size all the way down to 320 (I have images at 1920, 1280, 1024, 768 and 320 in width)

I believe i've looked at every possibility. What am I missing?

Thank you.

Make sure your elements have a max-width set to none.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

So how do you make the full-screen slider? I put the Rembrandt slider into one of the templates and it is still cut off. Everything on the HTML Dimensions is set to None - Width is Auto. The preview of the slider is full screen but, when put into the webpage it gets cut off.

Hi Lloyd,

It looks like you are putting your slider into a column that is restrained by the row.

Here is what I do for full width sliders:
1.Select the column that the slider is in.
2.Select the dropdown at the top left corner and choose Row.
3.In the design pane goto the max-width, which probably is set to 1200px, and put a check in the "None" box.

You should notice the column in that row stretches the entire page now. Re-export and upload all files to your server.

Hope this helps.

Steve,

It did help somewhat. The change did expand the image area but, also moved everything else that was inside the container. It still doesn't reach the screen edges though.
I am using the RCS program to create the slider. Everything in it is set to Auto/None in the dimensions and the preview, in RCS, looks fine. The original image is 1920 x 550 so I know it should easily span the screen.
Here's where it got to - http://www.test.arealwebsite.com/

Hey Lloyd,

What you need to do in that case is add another row and set it between the area you would like to see it. Change back those settings on the first row to max-width 1200px. Then move the content slider to the new row you just created and adjust the width as you did before.

This can become tricky if you are using a pre-built theme but you should be able to move things around. I would suggest changing it back the way you had it and do a save as. That way if things get really messed up you can go back to your original.

Steve,

Thanks for the help but, I've spent an hour just trying to add a row and move it where I need it. Without any luck.

Thanks again,
Lloyd
