What you just need to do is make a bakup of your website project and put that in a safe location. That then gives you a local backup. Once you do that, try and replicate the issue. I would also suggest you reboot your computer. A great many things can be fixed by a good old reboot. ;)

I still however don't understand how our support is WEAK Katherine. Can you clarify why you think that? I find it important to ask as these forum posts are here forever which means your statement will always be listed. If you have never opened a support ticket and according to your last post you have no plans to, you have never given us the opportunity to help.

I have to say, opening a support ticket WILL bring you a result, and FAAASSST too.

My comments about a bug related forum really is about the posts archive over time, giving answers meaning a support ticket may not be necessary....

Still, closing the door completely may not solve much in a way, as S**t happens I guess, but help here
is just around the corner :)

Awaiting reply from the support forum (still don't see a ticket place).

This file was never on my server as I was but creating it over these last few days and certainly wasn't yet presentable for publishing. As I was manually placing the articles as typed in to the year/month/day of original issue. Later I would probably make 3 or 4 pages to the 'collection' by a set of years. With Years and months with a
or a pic for a
for easier find for the reader. So a web hosting provider would not help as they can not 'back up' something which was never there. I do not have CC installed on my server by which I can create files directly in the server.

For support, I only see a 'forum' to post to.
I miss 'that' "Margaret, your strange".

Katherine, go to 'Your account' at the top of the page. In the dropdown you'll find 'your support room'.

Scott, it might be a good idea to have a link to 'your support room' under the menu item Support too.

Inger: that is the same place as the support forum. I did just as you said and see my posting.

The difference is that if you post (open a new topic) there, it will be seen by the CC support staff. Posting here in this forum will mainly be seen by other users and maybe the odd stray staff member (such as Scott ;) )

Oh, and the word 'ticket' in the support room may have been replaced by 'topic'. Those of us who have been here a while are just used to calling it a ticket.

They want me to have this error reoccur so they can get the 'exact' error message (I later thought I should have made a screenshot)... but golly IF I can make the error occur, I probably could find the problem then too!

I was also asked what build I am using although the 'form' asked me that in the initial support.

As CC doesn't do backups, I was informed I should save my file to server or elsewhere. (I guess I will do so from now on, save twice on my computer. I do keep my files for websites on a physically different hard drive from my system hard drive - so Windows and CC program run off 'C' drive on one harddrive while my files are on 'f' on a secondary drive. - I could save to another secondary drive also. But this sure is second quessing CC for errors the developers don't even know can or would happen within their program!

They suggested I install the latest BETA: which may or may not have bugs... and want users to discover those!

Well, I just reported one and am asked questions I already provided answers to in the form they provided. (now that IS more frustrating) and WEAK

So, because 5 USERS in this forum have given you different suggestions to fix this. And you refusing to open a support ticket, regardless of Scott asking you too... Then, you do open a ticket, and you are given a working version of the software, that we have said over and over again in the posts IS WORKING...

I would suggest you take a step back and reevaluate the issue. All programs have bugs... There is no getting around it... But most programs charge you to update to a new version and take a year or so to complete the update... CC offers updates for life of the program, and takes a month or two to release an update on some programs. So, what you see as weak, is very strong.

So, if you want help with the issue, do as support says and download the beta version. I am on the same Beta version and that bug has been fixed.

Also, you should ALWAYS keep a backup of all files... Because your computer could crash, CC could crash, Windows Explorer could crash, a meteor could fall from the sky and land on your hard drive, etc... Make a test folder on your site and upload your files there... That way, you have multiple places.

In order to correct and eliminate bugs, a programme has to be tested by users. Some of us are on a test panel for this new version, and we have kept CC very busy over the last couple of weeks! And it's always good to have a pair of fresh eyes looking into something.

When we report errors, or bugs, we have to describe as exact as possible what lead to that error, including screen shots. That is the best way for the developers to see what they have to do. Otherwise it could be a hit and miss.
