Greetings,

I just upgraded to version 12.5, and I have noticed a hidden file called intranet.cpfs. Does anyone know what a .cpfs file is?

Thanks,
Shane.

A cpf file is like your project management file. It tells the HTML Editor that you have a project set up and that is the file it references. :P I would not delete it, as it is how you add your projects back in if something were to happen to them. :P

cpfs files are for s-drive. They won't hurt anything to leave them there, they are basically the same as the cpf files but have the settings for s-drive in them.

OK. Thanks. None of this is mentioned in the help files.

You are correct that none of it is mentioned in the F1 help files... I will submit a ticket to CC and ask them to include it in the next update if possible. :P

The help files are a Quick Start Guide. This sort of information is in a knowledge base article. We need to keep the PDF easy to read. ;)

Sorry to change the subject, but...

Is there any way the help files could be a windows help file (*.chm) file? PDF files are very, very inconvenient.

  • It launches a second application
  • They take a long time to load
  • I don't have Adobe Reader installed on all my machines
  • Text doesn't re-flow
  • Window and zoom settings aren't saved
Windows help files are convenient because they were specifically designed as a help file. For example, they have a separate pane for table of contents, index, search, etc.

In Windows 7 I do not have tab options or Table of Contents. It does have a search box that allows me to search the file contents, but so does Adobe Reader. I have attached a screen shot to show what I have. The load time for me is about 1.5 seconds for the 99 page PDF file, which to me is not bad at all.

But if you feel this is something that you would like to see added, you can always post it under the http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/html-ed … ml-editor/ thread. Or by submitting a support ticket.

Hope this helps.
