I stopped using Coffeecup a while ago because I needed regular expression search and replace which I found in another editor. So first question: does Coffeecup do that now? Second, I tried downloading 2010 and it didn't work (Windows 7 says it's not a win 32 application). Any tricks to that?

Officially, all of our software is supported under Windows 7, XP, and Vista 32-bit. However, many of our users are able to use the software with Windows 64-bit running in Windows XP Compatibility Mode. Follow these steps to set this up:

1. Right-click the program .exe file and select Properties .
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Select the Run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox and select Windows XP .
4. Click OK .

If I'm understanding what you are asking...yes I think it does...but download the trial and see.

The second issue probably means that it didn't download properly so try doing a fresh download. You may need to delete the other download and do a registry clean first.

And as Dave said if you keep having problems raise a Support Ticket ... Get Support on the purple toolbar above.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Regarding the first question, no you cannot search using regular expressions.
