Hi,

I do not understand these temp files...when are they created ? Why does find&replace also look in them and what can I do about that? When and how are they deleted? Can I suppress them??

Can you help me, please?

Thank you

Daniel

You are not saying which programme you are using, but assuming you are talking about the HTML Editor, the .tmp files are your open files while you are working on them. Normally they should disappear after you close the programme (or maybe when you are saving, not sure about that).

If you are talking about a different prog., then you'll have to tell us which.

Hi Inger,

thank you!

yes, it's about the latest HTML Editor...

but somehow the tmp don't (always?) vanish after saving
(and Replace looks in them, too)

hmmm... can I suppress them...or have them open in the temp folder??

Thanks

Daniel

If they are still there after you have saved everything and even closed the programme, you may just get rid of them.

Also try refreshing the window you have the files in (in Windows not in HTML Editor) to make sure they are really there and not just stuck in a cache somewhere, I've had that happen a few times. Might not be it, but it doesn't hurt to check it :)
