Support for "main" Element in HTML...

I am taking an HTML5 course on Coursera. One of the elements covered is the "main" element. I can manually type it into my page and it validates through W3C. I just wondered why it is not a code selection option in the editor, or am I missing something?

Here is some of the information I reviewed at W3C.

Thanks for any help or insight.

As far as I know (after having asked a similar question some years ago), only code that is universally recognised by the browsers is listed. Main is not supported by IE 11. The current HTML Editor is older than Win 10 and Edge (which supports main), but IE is still very much alive and in use.
