Since I can be on any one of 3 different computers when I'm working on my site, can I save the library items on my google drive where my site is stored? The Library items was a feature that I need. and now it appears it is defaulting to storing it locally?

Library items must stay in their default location on that computer and cannot be move to another location.

Would having a home network solve that sort of a problem?

You can access your library items from C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\HTML Editor\Library and simply copy and paste them from one computer to another, yes it is an extra step, but it will still save you a TON of time. :)

You can always put a shortcut to the location of the library files on your desktop of each computer. When you're done working on your site(s) each time just copy the files to your Dropbox or your favorite cloud sharing setup and then get them from there on the other computers. That's one extra step when you're finished working on the site on any computer. And one extra step to copy them from Dropbox when you work on a different computer. This keeps them up to date no matter what computer you're on you can always have the current ones.

Jo and Adam ... those ideas are good. I have my web stored on my google drive. So uploading the library to my drive might be the solution. Not sure what cc places is. I googled it and didn't really see what I thought I was looking for.

I've just started using library items in HTML editor but not sure about adding to my hosting account... can they be saved in a separate folder called 'library' in the httpdocs folder to keep them all together or must they be uploaded to the root folder in order to appear in my webpages please?

Answered my own question, so never mind! Works with uploading library folder to root folder (httpdocs) in case anyone else needs to know :-)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
