You rebel you

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

hehe George, no dunce cap for you
At the top of every Forum you'll see some that have yellow stars next to them, those are stickied to the top of the forum so that they don't ever get lost in the hundreds of posts each day/week etc. and can always be found up there. Same with any announcements that you'll see the red stop sign next to.

Nothing in the latest upgrade should have changed this behavior. You may not be fully understanding the advice given here.
Generally, if you create a page in the Code Editor, and then switch to the Visual Editor, it will work one time in this direction, because the existing code is automagically modified so that it will work in visual mode. The problem normally occurs if you subsequently try to switch back to the Code Editor.
So if you want to make a rule-of-thumb, it's 'Don't try to switch from the Visual Editor back to the Code Editor within the HTML Editor'. You haven't hidden the Preview Tab, have you?
And, with reference to your original post:
if I make edits in code editor, save, then switch to visual editor (no changes made, just checking layout)... <snip>
What you're doing here to check the layout is what the Preview button is for -- to see how your page looks in a browser window! You haven't hidden the Preview tab, have you? See below:

George I never heard of that either lol, http://www.kellyinfo.com/web/533.gif
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
