I have the most up to date version of the HTML editor...... lately every time I hit F11 to preview the page I am building the external preview window pops up but instead of the page it says "\Navigation to page has been cancelled" and then the only way i can view the page is to use the drop down to view it in the default browser.

Anyone have an idea how to stop this?

Couple of things come to mind. Are you running as administrator? And the second is what is the page name? Any special characters? Any spaces? Does it happen on every page you try to view, or just 1 particular page?

Just tried opening up using "Run as Administrator" and still happened no special characters but my pages are named with .php extensions.

They always worked before in the preview.

Did try to rename the page with a .html extension and same result happened but sometimes on rare occasions it does show the preview

Hmm,works sometimes but not others...pop-up blocker? Don't know if that would be an issue. Might disable whatever you have for anti-virus and see if it makes a difference.

Ron,

Your problem sounds strange. I sometimes use php, and if I preview in the Editor, the html content of a page displays ok, the php displays as code, not what it's supposed to look like. And If I use php includes, but the rest of the page is html, the page displays the html, but not the includes. As far as I know it has always been like that with the Editor.

I have WAMP server installed, and therefore I can preview php content locally in the browser, otherwise I would have had to upload the pages to see what they are.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Same for me.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

A few days ago I started to have the exact problem that Ron is describing. This was after having re-installed Win7 and all software. (Yes, I do follow ALL Scott's suggestions to the letter about reformatting, etc..! :D )
The files I was using all had .php extensions.
I then tried an html file and the preview worked. When i then went back to try a php file, that one worked also...
The other thing I did, that may have affected the outcome, was that I changed the Internal Preview Browser (options: IE7, -8, -9) back and forth a couple of times, with restarts of the Editor for activation. Not sure of the exact sequence of events though. The bottom line is that the F11 preview now works again... :) .

I can preview files with PHP extensions but not with php actions or scripts working with them. just the page displays, That is why I use the editor to make changes and Localhost via Wamp to do the preview, even the workings of a form. I do not use the email facility of Wamp but I have never found that to fault.

It is easy to auto launch all programs required to create php files and the editor makes a fine PHP IDE I just added the PHP reference manual in the other program activator.

I am having the same problem as described at the beginning of this thread. No php involved. It happens on every page I try to open in the external viewer although the split screen preview works on all of them. I am an administrator. This started when I installed the latest version of HTML editor. Is there a bug?
