You should have a tab for each open page at the top starting at the left of the design screen that all have a lttle x in them.
Yes, and I used to have a preview of the page I was working on, next to that in another tab. How do I get that back?
Click it and that will close the window and tab. As far as preview play around with either f11 or f12.
Tried those. F12 gives a preview BELOW the HTML, which isn't enough to show either of them very well.
F11 opens a whole new window on my screen, on top of the HTML.
How do I get the old setup back? Or can I?
I wish people didn't have to monkey with things we like, just to make a new version of a program. At least let us use the new one the same way as the old one, the way we liked it.
And HOW do I get that left side menu mess to collapse back to the left so I don't have to look at it? Apparently I could accidentally pop it out, but there's no way to get it to go back?...
OK, never mind that last thing here. I discovered a tiny left arrow in the far lower left of the screen, that made the fricking left menu strip recede.
