Already read the PDF documentation and searched this form.

I just want to edit the properties of an existing Table or existing Table Cell, but can't for the life of me find how to do that.

I though I just needed to put the cursor somewhere in the table, and I could then edit the table properties or table cell properties, but no...

Using 2010 build 369 in Windows 7 Ultimate.

Are you trying to edit a table from the preview tab? Code Tab? or the Visual Tab?

In the Visual Tab.

I am sorry but that cannot be done in the visual editor. You will need to switch to the code editor to make that change.

Okay I just tried this and it worked in XP. Hopefully I understand what you are after:

For editing table values, you can either: 1. move your cursor to the corner of the table and when the cursor changes to a 4 arrow pointer - click and it will show the table values that are editable at the bottom of the screen.

To change height or width of the columns/cells, move your cursor around until you see it go to double line, then click and hold so you can drag the cell to what you want.

For empty cell values just double click in the cell box. If there was content it sometimes did not come up.

I always use the code side to make changes, which I suggest to do. You can always see the values in the tags and change what you need more easily in there.

I am using XP.

OK thanks, that works, but as you say it's hit or miss for cells with content.

Sorry, but for a GUI design tool, having to edit raw code is pretty kludgy...

Please consider improving that in a future release. Frontpage 2003, IIRC, let you position the cursor anywhere within the table, and then edit the Table or Table Cell properties from a menu option.

Looks like I may be able to avoid going to the Code tab, by using "Edit Element Source" from the Visual Tab, after selecting/highlighting the entire table.
