I just want to make HTML pages, like a sales page or order fulfillment page, not an entire website. In searching for how to add a Paypal button to a page, I only found instructions for Visual Site Designer. Did I buy the wrong software for what I'm wanting to use it for?

All you need to do is go to Paypal, and if you already have an account with them, set up some buttons - a separate one for each item you wish to sell - and copy their code to paste into your web page. Paypal is not part of CoffeeCup so you will have to combine the two for your own needs.

But it really is very simple once you have an account set up with them.

I already have button code but I can't figure out where/how to put it on my page. I'm using the WYSIWYG screen. If you can direct me to instructions I can figure it out.

As the Paypal snippet is in code, you are going to have to use the code editor to add in the button information.

*whispering* How in the world do I figure out where that code goes?

LOL... good point! So I now assume you know nothing about HTML, right?
So how about if you grab the code from the page and post it in here in a code box, then we can tell you where to slip in the button code. Just let us know where you want it to show up though, ok?

Charlotte - I removed the code as it is your own personal Paypal code

I want it to go in the body of the text about halfway down, then there will be more text. I appreciate your help!

So you know how to add a code box. Look next to the little faces and you will see an icon that says "html"

Click it like this and add your code in between the two code tags.

That's how I added code on this forum post, but is there an HTML button like that on HTML Editor? I can't find one.

Charlotte - I removed that bunch of code you posted as it contained your own personal Paypal information which is not wise to include on an open forum.
Sorry if I was not clear. The code I wanted to see was the code from the rest of the page which you can pick up in the HTML code editor. BUT, please be aware that swapping between the code editor and the visual editor makes changes to your page which may render it differently when you switch back again.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
