css preview does not display updates...

I'm having the following problem: when I make changes in a css file my preview does not show the changes until I save the css file and do a refresh on the preview window. Used to work just fine before, started about a month ago. I use html editor 14.1 Build 738
Does anyone has an idea what could cause that?

thank you,

Josef

I think it has always been like that. It's just normal behaviour.

hi Inger,
it used to work for years, after I opened up a html file, I could then open a css file and it would preview the contents of the html file and immediately display any changes I made to the css file

You need to save the file first.

Then you know more than I do, Josef. ;) I have been using the HTML Editor since 2005, even before it had css files, I think. And I always had to save the css file(s) to have the changes showing in preview. The same goes for js files.

Scott,
it did work for me for years without saving the css file just doing a refresh in the preview window, but if you say that was never an option I guess I have to live with that, bummer!

Thanks for your inputs, I guess it was a lucky fluke, like 'paintbrush' said, but sure it would be a nice feature to have! I'm wondering what I did to make that work. It worked even after I had the CCHE reinstalled a few times on at least 3 computers over the years.

I've gotten used to hitting Ctrl+S every time I leave my CSS page. I don't even think about it anymore, it's automatic.
