Well, heres' some of mine, even though the editor is out now and I'm not eligible for any of that cool swag. I found the following very helpful in my work, I hope they find favour for you too.

They should all validate, I apologise for any that don't with your particular doctype.

Dave.

contact-page.snp is an entire page snippet/template that simply requires the user to paste the code generated by the CoffeeCup Form Builder software; everything else is in place with download links to get flash if not installed and useful notes on usage. All styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

4x4-table.snp is a basic snippet containing a 4 x 4 table with cells numbered and ready to fill with content. Easily modified to add or remove cells, all styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

copyright-footer.snp is a javascript-enabled 'footer' table that has everything you need to make a neat copyright footer for your site which automatically updates on Jan 1 each year. Includes placements for brand name, company name, address and phone numbers. All styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

But wait, I KNOW you want more...

feedback-form.snp is a simple pre-fab html and javascript email form. If someone doesn't have CoffeeCup Form Builder (which they should have anyway), they can use this snippet to easily create a form with JS email address and required field validation. Again, all styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

hover-button.snp is, er, a hover button snippet that is fully customisable to match your formatting. Everything, including the mouse cursor can be tweaked to match any existing styles and besides, hover buttons are just too cool.

javascript-back-button.snp is an ultra-simple javascript back button, ideal for error pages or situations where you want your surfers to click a link to return to where they just came from. Can be modified to step back an infinite number of pages (within reason). All styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

And last but not least...

javascript-time-date is a very handy snippet for quickly adding automatically updating time and date stamps to your pages. Can be easily modified to render/format dates any way you want and as with all my snippets, all styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

menu.snp is a fully self-contained horizontal navigation menu ready to add to your pages. Comes with easily modifiable links and common page names (Home, About Us, products, Services, Contact etc.) and all styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

table-of-contents.snp is an unusual snippet in that many sites don't worry about Table of Contents any more. However, if you are looking for a quick and easy way to add this feature to your site, look no more! Just populate with your own page titles and links and you are good to go. No prizes for guessing that all styles and variables are easily modified to match your current formatting.

Dave,

You should give a brief description for what each one does. The contest is not over and you may get the cool swag (but I want it).

Yes please, otherwise the no one will know what it is ;) Dave, e-mail me directly what each does and I will update all your posts.

Yikes! Guess I should the rules!

Thanks Lowell and Scott.

I will try to edit those posts and add descriptions. If I can't then Scott, I will email you directly but there is no reason you should have to clean up my mess.

Edit:

Nope, can't edit posts. That's very limiting...

Dave.

OK, I don't know your direct email address Scott and can't find it on this site (which is painfully slow down here today) so I will post the descriptions here.

I have named the snippets with names that should indicate what they are so to elaborate on those titles, here is a brief description of each one.

***EDIT by Jo Ann***
Moved all the parts & pieces to their respective Snippets :)

Sorry for the long post, I hope you can do something with these and Lowell, I don't think any of these will stand up to the snippets already posted so you are still a major contender for the cool swag!

here is a snippet that will provide a semi transparent rectangle behind your text allowing your content to easily separate itself from the background / background image. The code actually came from Ian Tregillis in his blog at http://www.3232design.com/blog.cfm?id=72

I made this one to help someone elsewhere on the forum so thought I should post here as well.

Description: This is a simple 1 x 4 cell table with colour roll-over action on the backgrounds and the cell text is linked to whatever you want it linked to. Could be useful for someone!

Have fun!

Dave.
