Hi,
At the narrow width 442px I start with 2 columns 3+9 in a row.
From 646px I increase to 4 columns with picture links in the last 2 columns, i.e. 2+5+3(pic)+2(pic)
When I slide back to 442px with only 2 columns again 3+9 (I don't want to stack 2x2 - so no pic columns) the word "Picture" in very small print appears at the foot of both columns.
I know I'm misunderstanding something about columns, but can't figure out what that is.
Would appreciate any advice on this.

I can't picture that in my mind, might help to put a link to the project or attach it so we can see it in real pictures so to speak.

At the lower breakpoint you have to set the position display of the two columns holding the images to NONE, then when you get back to the higher breakpoint set the position display for the two columns back to block, you do this bu going to the inspector panel and looking for the column with an eye icon next to it, double click on this and the column settings appear in display pane.

Thank you so much - spot on!
I didn't see the eye in Inspector but just tried changing BLOCK to NONE at the lower breakpoints in Design, and then slid across to the wide break points and changed back to BLOCK - worked a treat. Nearly brought tears to my eyes, I've been trying for ages to solve that, and thanks to you, did it in two minutes!
