Yeah, it's a hassle having to use small screens for this. When I was on holiday, I was on a 15.6 screen.

Just a small detail: when you speak about the 'first standard breakpoint', then we understand it as being the left-most one, since we start with mobile size screens. But I assume you are speaking of the 'last' breakpoint, meaning the right-most one, which easily gets hidden behind the tool panes on small screens.

Yes, I was talking about the one all the way to the right.

I must admit I never have read any user guides or instructions on the program and just learning by clicking around.

I did just in the last couple days see something saying always start from mobile. This may be the reason for one of the most frustrating things I find about the program.

Maybe you know the answer. if I start a design in full view, not mobile first, then I scroll to smaller resolutions, all the settings I just set for the wider view dispensary at the break point and I have to set it all again. It's double or triple the work.

Does that not happen going from mobile to larger?

Jonathan,

That doesn't happen when you start at the mobile end. Anything you set there stays the same all the way out to full screen (unless you change it for wider screen settings).

Yes, Ernie is right.
Some people find it awkward to work at the small viewport, and you may, if you find it easier, click on the icon 'toggle breakpoints' and disable them all. Then you can widen the viewport to see more of your work, as long as you remember that you are still designing for mobile first, and that you cannot make adaptions for wider screens until you have enabled the breakpoints again.

That is good to know. I wish I read some guides or found this out some time ago. My natural way would be start from big to small and there was nothing more irritating than having to do triple the work at every break point.

Thanks for the help.

Inger, I was able to modify your Dropdown 'hamburger' menu to exactly what I need for one of my sites.

"After Wayan let me know about the hidden break point on the smaller screen"

Everything except one thing. When you hover over the dropdown link the effect is it turns blue. It doesn't happen when hovering over the other links. I have looked all over the settings and can't find where to modify that color. Where can I change that?

Yes, that seems to be a flaw in one of the recent Foundation updates (not the software, but Foundation itself.) I have a fix for that, but unfortunately it is on my other computer, which is 80 km away, and I don't remember it off the top of my head. But I'm sure someone with a bit of a better memory will chime in here

After a bit of thinking...

Those links that get back to blue when hovered over, give them a second class name (e.g. 'override'). Then select hover state and give them your preferred colour once again.

Hello inger, This is funny.

First Thanks. These are the technical issues I do not know yet in this program.

I changed the class, set the Hover state, and color, and there it is... no more blue...

The funny part....... when I then move the mouse down into the drop down links that same link I just changed the hover color for changes to blue again... Not sure if I explained that well enough....
