Components appear inactive

Hi,
I thought I had read somewhere about adding components by dragging them across to the working grid. I'm having no joy with this.
I add a new row, select Content, then the Components tab. The only component that works is the bottom one "Row with images tab" (which has "+" highlighted brighter than all the other components). This component is added to the new grid row simply by clicking on it. But this doesn't happen with any other components, some of which I can see in the preview pane though.
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers

Hello from sunny Bali

I know this might sound obvious and a bit like teaching someone to suck eggs, so please excuse me , but make sure that you actually click and select column before adding a component

Again apologies if you already did that, and also if you do did that, then perhaps raising a ticket would get a quicker response.

Cheers

Hi Wayan,
No, as a complete newbie to responsive I am very grateful that you are teaching me to suck eggs. I thought, because I wanted the dropdown menu in a row, that row was what I should select. But, select column first, and hey presto, all the components are highlighted and are available.
Fantastic ! Thank you so much.:)
Best wishes
