How can I use Form Designer to make the form and put PHP behind the objects. So I can read, write and change the database table data information? At this time are we tied to Form Builder to make my forms work?

If I understand you correctly, and if you are talking about simple forms, you may find a solution in my sharing folder. The forms I have there have not been made with FD, but with RSD/SD, but I have tested with a FD-made form, and it works the same way. I plan on adding a sample built with FD in near future.
You find the URL in my singature.

Write the scripts yourself. This is where you find out the true value of the Form Builder. I build my own scripts and the validation can take the longest depending on the need.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I can make and use Form Designer but I'm lost as to where and how I add my PHP code to collect the data from the form an write the data to a database. When I click submit I want to put the inputted data into a dtabase and let the form move on. Where can I find instructions around this?

If you have Form Builder you can use the php scripts for that on your Form Designer form.
