Any body experiencing difficult to upload shop to the host server, try this once. No matter, which server you are using, Windows or Linux, just leave the 'Remote Folder' blank. Do not enter anything like; public_html or htdocs. You may find it is simply amazing it works. I only discovered this application this morning after a considerable stressful two months.

Why would you leave the remote folder blank?:/
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

If his friend has given him remote access to a specific folder on their server, I had this happen to me, i have to leave it blank ( instead i put public_html ) took me a whole day to work out why my edits didn't appear :(

So i guess some re seller hosting packages could have a similar option ?????

My Yahoo FTP requires that it be left blank. Maybe some other hosting plans work the same way?

I've never seen that either, but I've used a limited handful of servers over the years :)

If you are using a cpanel account, go to FTP accounts and you can set up access to a folder on the account where someone else can have direct ftp access with their own password etc. with-ought any risc of them getting into your other files.

This is how we set up my photographers website on her fathers hosting account to save paying Jhost double every year.

my access to his jhost account is no longer

Hisdomain.com with his password

But instead

Sarahsdomainname.co.uk with my own password

Because her domain name is an add on domain it is already insde the public_html folder, so publishing to the rute of her website I leave the directory blank, as basically i am forced directly into it

Strange though because Tim who hosts this website has been into computers, and websites for 20 years, but i had to explain to him how to set it up in his jhost cpanel account.

Result, saves them £125.00 per year for a second hosting account.

Eric, this should be in your CC help pages for people with more than one website on a c panel account, or for anyone here in CC who just want to piggy back on another account for free hosting :)

I think to date i have about 7 or 8 small websites for friends on my hosting account (its unlimited for £125.00 per year)
