I was fine with it the new way but could see why users would want it the old way. Ounce again CC rocks!:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

It would also be nice if you could delete folders with files in them... versus having to delete all the files first and then the folder.

Andrew, I tested this and I can delete multiple folders with files in them without errors. I couldn't find anything in the application preferences that would cause what your seeing. I don't know if a server setting would cause this or not. If you still continue to see this I would open a support ticket.:)

Thanks Eric... that is strange.

I can delete an entire folder with Filezilla - that has files in it, but I can't with DirectFTP.

I'll try it again later today.

Should add, on the same server.

Just an update to everyone here that if you ask, we listen.

We will be adding the new Transfer Activity Window back into the application as it was previously. It will still be the new format/design but docked inside of the software.

It will be a month or so before we cycle back through to this program, so hang in there.

Thank you Scott, this is why CoffeeCup is the best!!! You really do listen to your users.
Carole.

But Carole, who were they listening to when they butchered the application in the first place?

They've got the time to implement "features" that no one apparently asked for, then need a month to un-implement them, all while bugs that have existed for years go unresolved.

You know, its possible for software to be finished - it does what its designed to do and there's no need for anything more. FTP was done and dusted years ago, while here we are at build 1902 - yes, one thousand, nine hundred and two - version 6.8 - of an application designed to use it. Good grief.

There were not 1902 versions of 6.8 (LOL). That is the internal build number since the first version of Direct FTP. ;)

Just expanding on Scott's post that you need to realize that they are creating what "they" want too as well as what we want. I'm thinking that there were people in the development team that thought that this feature would be useful (and to be entirely honest I hope it's a toggle because I kind of do like it myself). I do like how each item you setup to transfer is it's own little country now instead of one big long list of items that will download without knowing which set of downloads it's actually working on etc. (in other words, you can drag and drop multiple sections and each drag and drop is considered a separate job where before it was just all lumped together). That to me is a great feature that was added, that to be honest I saw no one asking for.

Keep in mind that software developers are people and users too, they have ideas just like we do, we aren't always going to see what they are thinking on the forums as we do see the users thinking on the forums. It's their baby too :)

That's a little harsh. New features are added to software based on user input and requests. If you don't like the new features and you believe that the application is "finished" then just don't download the new version.
