seems msn is blocking that part, of the messages thank you everyone
Hi:
Just a basic question from a beginner planning to create a website. Must I use as a "server" my existing DSL supplier which is AT&T/Bell South, or may I select a different one, one that has nothing to do with Bell South -- such as the iPage web-hosting service?
Are there servers that are preferred by Coffeecup users?
Thanks for your help.

Hiya Michael,
You can use any server you like as long as you're able to understand how to upload things to them as that's all it takes really for getting it on a server. Building it is another story of course hehe, but you can put a site anywhere you like.

Michael.. following personal experience, just make sure that your chosen server has all the latest bells and whistles so that you can be certain that all the software will function correctly. Every server should give you a detailed list of their technical spec so that you can check on this before committing yourself to a contract.
