Certain folders I try to delete or upload I am getting this error message, or I'll upload a folder and some files will transfer just fine others will fail:

"Error #8 Direct FTP got a strange or invalid response from the server. Please contact your Web host about this; There is likely a configuration error on the remote server."

My hosting is through Godaddy.com who I called. They told me to try it in their web-based FTP client and it worked just fine. I have used older versions of Coffee cup to manage this same site in the past, but now that i got the newest version I am having this issue.

I got the same error. Godaddy denies it is at their end. I suggest to go back to the older and tried version of Coffee Cup.

How wierd, my direct ftp 6.5 connects directly to my godaddy account.....and free ftp.......
