Hi everyone, since I have used Direct FTP I have always deleted all of the files from my server before uploading new or updated files. Do I need to do this? as I'm not sure if it is just a habit I got into when I was having problems with uploading. Or can I just upload without deleting first and Direct FTP will automatically replace existing files with the new ones without interrupting the web sites running?

No need to delete all the files off the server. When you select the files you want to upload Direct ftp will overwrite those on the server.
