cant download excel files - Post ID...

I am trying to download some files in excel but when downloaded the files convert to a different format , I need the files in excel to work with them, any ideas !

What are they converting to Charles?
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Also, what version are you using of DirectFTP? I'm using 6.7 build 1750 (not sure if that's the most recent but if not it's only a version behind) and it works fine for me. I just uploaded a file that is Excel 2007 compatible file with the .xlsx enxtention, renamed it to be sure it downloaded a clean copy and then downloaded it again and it worked fine.

Charles do you perhaps have Open office or another program that might open those program types set as your default?
