Hi Everyone,
This may not be a VSD questions specifically, but since out Website is VSD, I thought I'd post my question here.
My company recently increased our prices as advertized throughout or Site. We properly made the necessary changes on every page of the Site, and then re-synced the Site. I logged on to the Site from my personal desktop and was happy to see the changes to the price took effect.
Unfortunately, it appears many consumers who have been perusing our site over time, have cached the old Site pages on their computer, and as a result, they continue to see the old product prices. When they finally get to our PayPal checkout they are shocked to find the new, true, increased price; in fact, several folks have called us in frustration to accuse us of "bait and switch" tactics.
I was curious about this, so I logged onto the site from my Wife's home desktop (which I rarely use), and sure enough, the "old price" appeared on every page -- even after I hit the refresh button.
We're obviously not the only business on earth to change their prices. Is this issue simply a cache issue? Is it a VSD specific? If anyone has any suggestions on how we can reduce/eliminate this problem, we'd be grateful.
Best,
Tim
