I have about 80% of my site finished and after doing a backup of my old site I set the ftp settings and let rip.
I am impressed, By the time I sat back and had a cuppa the site uploaded and when I went there all pages and links worked.
I scrapped my old site as it was old and in need of revamping. This is so easy. VSD May not have the ability of a HTML editor but does it ever get the job done.

So Scott I placed this post to congratulate you and your team for a job well done. All my original misgivings are gone, replaced with confidence I can knock over a solid working site and have it stable in a short time. Married to the other applications I have from you, for the first time I can spend more time improving my programs instead of adjusting my site. This is definatly the easy way to roll.

With these tools I may even go into the Web Site creating business. I will certainly add that offer on my site.
I am about to print out the manuals of the form Builder and VSD as is my bent, in order to glean as much as possible from the applications.
Thanks
Terry

I am having difficulties getting my head around the fact that I have completely rebuilt my main site in a day. Not only that but combined other subdomains I had into the main site.

Dropped in two new forms, Adsense adds, a couple of images and now have the time to finish my PDF help files. Previously this workload would have taken several days. The auto upload performed seamlessly. I create software so tend to be a bit critical but all I can say is I am impressed.

Sure there are some issues but aren't there always.

Now a huge CC Fan

Yeah I guess. The older I get the more I have to say. Lotta bull dust mainly. I have spent more time programming so now with VSD I should be able to get better looking pages. Programming in HTML was always a pain.
By the way I looked at your site and you have some interference on the left hand side. I try to keep my site fairly simple without much distractions but I may look at other sites for inspiration, You have put up some good ideas.

I am impressed with the way VSD uploads and backs up on the server. I tried one of the first backups and sure enough it was all there. Same as system restore for web sites.

I do not know what pull you have but I have been asking for Copy and Paste ability in the form builder "Email Configuration Area" Need support for it.
Have a G'Day Eric

Hiya Sidney,

Did you see Scotts reply to your question on that in this thread yet?

Thanks Sidney. I enjoy the quickness of VSD also. I'm not making a living making websites or administrating them, at least not yet, like a lot of users in this forum. But I do enjoy making websites to share things in my life. I just hang out here for the conversations and the occasional user looking for a nudge in the right direction to get their website up to their expectations. I checked out your site "http://inkmon.org/" and see a lot of over lapping text both in IE9 and FX8. Not really sure what's causing it as it appeared that you placed your text boxes correctly. Are you seeing the same thing?:)

It's happening in FF as well. This is a common problem I see on this forum with sites created with VSD. A search of the forum should result in a solution.

HyYa Wolverana Thanks for the jog. I replied and thanked Scott.

To Eric.
Thanks mate, I happened to go to our local library where they have 21" screens and saw it too. I have modified it but found the site too wish washy. I was trying for simple it is too tepid.

I do not advertise my site as I do sell software and do not believe I should here as I respect CC and not use it for an advertising platform. I am a 69 yr old pensioner and allowed to earn extra and investment in these packages pays off in advertising them.
Seeing you have helped I will look at your site and if I find a contact form I will give you a chance to download one very useful removable media utility. Jo Anne too if you want.
Have a G'Day
Terry
Ps you realise it is sucking up for future advice :)

I visited both your sites but phoning is out I am in dear Ole Oz. My new site does have a contact form thanks to this mob. There is an address I saw somewhere. Others have to pay

I am working on an automated transfer system from the form builder into the html box of the VSD. It will use the version of basic I use plus Autohotkey developed for the gaming community. I will need a couple of Beta testers. Like Jo and Eric. Nice to talk to someone. My computer does not answer back. I have the utility working but a bit slow at the moment.

That is what I do. Glue things together. I used to be a company methods Improver. They called me that as they did not really knew what I did. Simple really I solved those problems they were to embarrassed to admit to from administration to methods to playing with new equipment. That's what I liked best. Till they found I could create computer controlled production testers in the 80's. Downside I had to leave Oz and family for a while. Never got to the US though. CC seems like an interesting company.

I am asking you as the requirements are: Must have the software, Must have something between the ears and Must be curious enough to bite. Yes fishing is another hobby. I am serious, it is life I find that is not.

First it will work then it gets glossed up then I will give it to this community. May give CC the incentive to do it themselves, Easy enough. One button press. Just saves Copying and pasting between the two applications.

For interest if you treat VSD and WFB as two games then Autohotkey can communicate between the two and be made to transfer the text. Must admit easier said than done. Therein lies the challenge.

It is my hobby after all and I am too old to run marathons

Hiya Prism,

Thanks for the offer to test your software, unfortunately I don't use VSD so it may not be proper for me to test this. There are some great people on the forums here though that use VSD that I'm sure would love to help you with that as it sounds like a very useful program. Good luck on it as I am sure it will be extremely helpful to the community here or to CC should you get them to add it in hehe. Have fun with it :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
