Ive got to create about 10 pages suitable for mobil / smart phone viewing. I don't have a smart phone but of course know many people that do and statcounter of course says about 1/3 of visitors are using smart phones. Currently the info is on an excel.htm spreadsheet. I need to take that info and create it into a 7 - day narrative format. I'll be creating a page for each day of the week. This is a weekly meeting list of course. Times and locations.

I'm using the current version of VSD 7.0 build 8.

Before I get too far into this what page size should I use. I experimented with 320 x 1000 that worked pretty good. I got everything on there I needed. I see on the latest VSD that page - size options are available.

I'm hearing and seeing that ideally the mobil page should open in the correct view / size ? The other pages on the site, the user can re-size.

So what size page should I create ? I do have Opera web developer to use as reference also.

Is it as easy as I make it out to be ? Thanks for your help.

I thought the converter was a pretty cool idea ! I don't have a mobile phone (or at least not one with web capbilities) and have wondered how it looked.

My agility site ( www.agilitywithlinda.com ) gets scrambled when I tried to convert it, though then choosing 'web page version' (or whatever it's called) did let me see how it currently looks.

It wouldn't load my Body Code site at all ! ( www.thebodycodetohealth.info ) It gives me a Page not Found error, though it comes up perfectly well on my computer. That would be the one I'd most like to see as I was curious if my CC forms would come up on a mobile.

If anyone would be willing to check, that would be great.

In general, I think creating little bitty pages for mobile phones is an interesting idea. Though as I don't get many hits from phones, not one that's too high on my to-do list yet. : )

My new android is 800x400 Normal web sites work just fine with the pinch thing and the sliding around, quite easy to work with. Blackberries and other older phones are a different matter

My Palm Pre doesn't care what size the page is but web sites should be formatted with the small screen size in mind.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

That's why I use my phone for talking and my PC for email and web surfing. No problems. :)

Could not agree more. That is why I bought an ipad. Those small screens to me are a joke for web browsing.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
