Hi,
I am trying to publish my website created in VSD to bluehost. I used the Publish feature in VSD to publish. It recognized the host location but failed to find the .xml files. Nonetheless, it uploaded the files to the Remote and said Website Uploaded Successfully. It did not.
Then I went to Filezilla and transferred the files to the proper folder on my remote. Everything uploaded properly but the remote cannot find the .html files.
Is this because VSD uses a .vsd ending?
This website uploads correctly to S-Drive.
How can I get this website to upload correctly to a remote host?

I bet you have your ftp settings wrong in VSD.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Eric,
The Internet Connection within VSD tests OK. It says no errors were found.
What should I be looking at?

I would say the remote folder path is wrong. It cannot be left empty.

I'm not sure what is wrong about it.
Bluehost support says that all the image files transferred but there are no html files. I looked and see that there is a .vnu file for VSD but they can't read that. Running the test from VSD the Upload/Download comes back with no errors. But in the Log I get multiple 550 Can't change directory to /vsd.test/vsd.txt: Not a directory.
Do I need to change the file name to html?

Change what file name to html?
Are you using
/public_html
for the remote folder?

I would back what Scott has said. The remote folder would be public_html or hdocs. Most hosts warn against uploading files to the root directory.
Could you do a screen grab of the fileziller Window when you make contact with the host.

yes. public_html/orphanpress/files. It is an addon domain.
For whatever reason bluehost cannot read the .vnu folder and it wants to find an .html folder to read that website. At least that is what bluehost support told me.

It should be /public_html
The VNU file /folder is only for the software to read.
