Im having no problems making my site using Coffeecup Visual site designer. But when i preview my site the text is not were i want it to be.

example:

I want my text to look like this.

If you are having trouble with the pictures on the main page, or your not sure what movie is what? then use this page for a quick AtoZ on each movie.

But it comes out looking like this.

If you are having trouble with the pictures on the main page, or your not sure
what movie is what? then use this page for a
quick AtoZ on each movie.

How do i fix this problem? by the way im useing IE7 if that has anything to do with it.

labworks,

There could be many reasons. A link to the site will let someone look at the code to see what is happening.

Do you have the latest version of VSD? That would be the first thing I would check.

labworks,

The jpg of the girl is nice, but what does it have to do with your text?

It appears that you are using (or started with) VSD 5.3. The latest version is 5.8.5 and if you haven't already you should upgrade.

Having the link, I visited with Firefox and with IE7. I see the problem. IE7 and Firefox are using different fonts. The Firefox font is smaller and sans-serif.

Looking at your code, I see the specified font is Courier New TUR and I don't seem to have that font installed. Since I don't have it installed on my computer, the browsers use whatever the programmers set as a default. You might want to select a font that is more likely to be found on most computers.

What girl? if you seen a picture of a girl it must of been when i was uploading new stuff to my site. ?

Mmmm i was thinking it maybe a font thing. Can you recommend me a font to use that will work on most browsers and most people might have installed? I will upgrade sometime soon.

When Arial isn't Arial...I'm trying to type in the name of a town I?i?i into a text box. I get the wrong characters, even if I copy and paste from notepad. Looking at the source generated, it uses character #232 when it should be using #269. Not sure why it's incorrectly handling this. Well, this web page also screws it up; looks fine when typing, even in Preview Post but the actual post replaces the character (letter c with a caron) with ?

John - could you post a link to the page so maybe someone can figure out what's going on? :)
Also - what's the town name?

(for paintbrush)

site: http://www.vila-skakavac.com/

warning: I'm a newbie, just experimenting with vsd

Also, looking at the site won't help, the html generated in vsd is wrong. From the get-go; typing or pasting generates the wrong characters (compared with other text editors).

The town's name is Icici, except that the first 'c' has a caron (accent that looks like a 'v') and the second has an acute (accent). I put an html object on the Home page to show how it's supposed to look.

ps - would be way cool to get e-mail notification when someone answers to a question (eg, posts to a thread you've posted to....)
