Hello-
Congrats on the new release. Unfortunately I have run into a little problem with the Photo Gallery. First of all, when clicking on the Photo Gallery Icon on the left toolbar as well as going through the “Tools” menu, a dialog box comes up asking me to download Photo Gallery (I already have it). I tried uninstalling and downloaded again, to no avail.
Also if I go to preview, the slideshow will not display at first. You can see the outline of the slideshow with the correct sizing. An ActiveX control block message appears; “To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options.“ > Allow blocked content.
But, once you “Allow Blocked Content” the slideshow shrinks about 70 pixels from the bottom and right. Is this due to the “text shifting”?
I’ve tried deleting and inserting it again…still the same.

I will try the whole process again...going through PixConverter>Photo Gallery>VSD to see if that helps.

Any suggestions..?

Thanks
Anthony..:)

You can configure the applications on the left hand toolbar by going to the Settings Menu > Configure left hand toolbar. Just navigate to the location for each application.

As to the other error, that unfortunately is how IE works. They do not allow ActiveX content to be loaded locally. Install FireFox or Safari and make that your default browser and it will work.

Scott,

It seems a few folks are having some issues when they upgrade to VSD 7. For folks, like me, who maintain several websites this upgrade makes me both excited but also very nervous. Might I suggest a potential solution. Is there a way we could have both VSD 6 and VSD 7 installed at the same time? This would enable us the time needed to upgrade each website one-by-one. I would love to convert my smaller sites first and leave my larger ones until I have a large enough window to complete them. Many of my sites require daily updates and upgrading everything to VSD 7 at once has my knees knocking.

Just a suggestion.

I was until now an avid user of CCHTML2010 but being allowed beta access to the new VSD7 has shifted my thinking. I built a new site using it and did have a few problems which CC has tweaked in the new relase. I found that VSD is so much easier to create a prototype website for approval. I now have updated all the websites that I work on to VSD 7. Pages with lots of typing as in rules for a facility or rental property, I just copied the text from the web browser then in VSD inserted a HTML box and pasted the text into that. The S-Drive with Stream when fully implemented will give everyone the opportunity to make their website more dynamic. It's basically like having a private Facebook website that you get to control. Great job CC:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

All of my text is shifted and messed up as well. I have been working with support to resolve this issue.

I also get quite a few issues where the uploading, times out and gives me an error. It usually takes 4 or 5 tries when I upload before it finally goes successfully.

You can do that now William. Just install version 7.0 into a unique folder and you will be all set. Actually this would apply to any program we have.

Cool right? :)

I have tried everything to get the new VSD7 to run on Windows 7 and can't get it to move past the Tip Screen. As soon as the Tip Box comes up everything freezes and I have to re-boot to use computer. When Tip Box comes up I can move the mouse, but nothing is clickable.

I am running the 64 bit Windows 7. I have tried changing things in the compatability mode and have run as administrator, but nothing works. If someone else has had this problem and found a fix, please help.

Thanks,
Steve

Hiya Steve,

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? If not try that and see if it works. Also turn off your security software when you download and install it and then turn it back on. Sometimes it loves to block some programs from installing correctly.

Steve,

Go to your Desktop, right-click it, and select Personalize. Select Display, located in the lower left-hand corner of the window. Then select Set Custom Text Size (DPI). This displays the DPI setting. If it is set to Large/120 DPI (125%), set it to Normal/96 DPI (100%).

After this you should be able to get past the Tips of the Day screen.
