Love VSD 7. One problem. I click on "Preview" and nothing happens. Been using a couple of years and tried a few things. Nothing. Any suggestions? Please. Thanks and keep up the great work.

When you say nothing happens, do you mean literally nothing happens or do you get an error? If you click the little down pointing arrow next to preview, you can configure it to use the default browser or built in browser or even configure a custom browser. Can you give one of those options a try and see if it helps.

Hi, Scott. Nothing. I've tried all the choices in the drop down. In vsd6, when I hit preview, it just automatically opened IE. Now (OS Windows 7), nothing opens up. I've created over 45 sites with vsd and never had this problem.

What if you configure a new browser, say FireFox, what happens?

Get ready to have a nice laugh at my expense (wife does all the time)... When I choose "add new browser" it brings me to all my vsd files. I've never used any other browser than IE and I don't really want to if I don't have to. I'm old. I think slow.

As a web developer you should have at least FireFox installed.

It works. Thanks, Scott. Oh, and please don't call me a developer. That would be an insult to developers. Some day. Thanks again.
Hi, updated to VSD 7 and in short, open website made some changes then click preview (as I have many times before with 6.6) and promted to fix a link. Fix the link and prompted to fix another link, etc. etc. etc.... until it melts down, crashes. Now have looked at the links showing and it's the link as it would be on website not on computer before upload.
Hit head against wall for awhile and no luck, uninstalled and deleted update download. Downloaded a fresh copy and ran it and no luck same problems.
Restored to earlier date and showing 6.6 and no luck but know that the only good copy of wesite is the zipped backup from update.
I need to update website but stck in the mud here, what known issues are out there like this...

There will be a zipped copy of your website created in 6.06 that we made before opening it in version 7. You can just extract that and open it back in 6.06. We are also working on a update that we hope to have ready in the next week or so that addresses all the issues that have been reported to date.

Thought I would put my oar in the water too. I upgraded a week or so ago also and the automatic 'uninstall' and installation of the new version went flawlessly. The program came up fine, read my website data, and I was able to use it without issue . The next time I tried it a day or so later it windows presented me with an error message stating VSD application has stopped working. After a reboot, it began working again. This has occurred a couple times now including today.
NOTE! I do have some other serious issues with my old P4 system having had some Blue Screen shutdowns in the past month or two so perhaps this problem is related to that. I will refrain from submitting a trouble report until I have my hardware issues nailed down. Just wanted to throw this out in case someone else has had similar issues.
