Visual Site Designer 5.9.4 will not...
I just bought the software and created a test page to upload to make sure everything is working. My hosting site is justhost.com and everything is running fine on their end. In VSD, I entered all the correct information to upload, and then clicked the "upload" button. I got this msg:
"The program could not establish a connection to the internet. Please check to see if you have entered the corrected destination server, username and password in the dialog box File->Misc->Internet Connection. See also if your modem is turned on."
Obviously my internet connection is fine. I have entered all the correct info. And there is NO "Misc" option under "File" in the software!
I have also turned off my firewall thing and tried to upload - didn't work.
Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

VSD is trying to connect you to the server, so obviously there is something wrong with the direction you are telling it to point.
Before you try uploading, use the "Test Internet Connection" under the Upload tab to see if there is a connection. If you hit test and you see "connection successful" or something along those lines....you're good.
Usually, the reason it can't connect is one of two, no internet connection or the FTP and/or password fields are incorrect.
I experienced this earlier in the year, and found out that I was transposing the password!

Got the problem all solved, thanks to Scott and Orlando! I just needed to turn off Windows firewall! OMG!
Funny, I getting the same problem but I turned off fire wall and it still didn't work. I have to use my server ftp in order to upload any pages I make with coffeecup BUT atleast it works BUT now my pictures won't load.
Any other suggestions?

mine is very simple, and it tests until it gets to upload then it waits about 2 mins, then comes up with an error.

Brenda, I would suggest verifying your ftp information. Mistakes I have made in the past are:
wrong password
wrong server information or entered wrong like entering ftp://myserver instead of just myserver
There are others, but for me, these have been the culprits in the past. If you can't figure it out, I would enter a ticket so they can trouble shoot 1 on 1.
